Each lesson time is set aside for your child alone, and our tutors plan ahead for every session. This policy explains how to cancel or change a lesson with AA Tutoring (Ascend Academic).
You can cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge if you give us at least 12 hours' notice before the lesson starts. Just email us or message your tutor. A cancelled lesson that you have already paid for becomes credit for a future lesson.
If you cancel with less than 12 hours' notice, the lesson will be charged in full. If you have already paid for it, it will be used from your credit or package.
We understand that real emergencies happen. If a student is suddenly unwell or something serious comes up, let us know as soon as you can and we will look at it case by case.
If your tutor has to cancel or reschedule, there is no cost to you. We will offer a new time, or another tutor if you prefer. If we can't find a time that suits you, the lesson will be held as credit, or refunded if you ask.
If an online lesson is cut short by a problem on our side (such as the tutor's internet dropping out), we will make up the lost time.
The same 12-hour rule applies to small group sessions, HSC intensives and holiday workshops. If we have to cancel a group session or workshop, you will receive a full refund or credit, whichever you prefer.
